There's a lot of information on this, but I'll keep it brief.
I am looking into applying to have my discharge corrected for Admin Separation to Medical Retirement.
I separated in 2015, but I just (2024) got awarded 70% Mental health (100 TDIU) with the VA.
I was severely unfit for Duty in 2015, but my command wanted me out quickly. I was young and naive to any process. I was seeing Behavioral Health and a psychologist at the hospital.
I was never sent for the Med Board or recommended for it.
Is it possible for them to change it this far out?
Open to giving more detail in comments if needed! This is the TL;DR version.
Edit to Add:
My VA disability was awarded off my STRs. I have about 300 pages between my psychologist and therapist.
I experience some traumatic events I will not go into detail about; however, it contributed to my quick exist. I was put in a back office setting for Duty, and was suppose to be sent to another base, but was pushed for separation before that happened.
I checked my records diagnosis says depression, anxiety, other personality
A lot of comments have been edited to be way nicer or more eloquent than originally stated to me so apologies if my responses seem confusing in any way.
