I’d like to start by saying I’m a new player to this game, though I’m not new to FPS games in general. I’ve played games like Overwatch and Apex Legends before, which feel very different from this one.
That said, I actually enjoy this game—plus, my friends invited me to play, haha.
I’ve been trying to learn from YouTube. It’s not that I don’t understand the content, I just prefer asking people for more up-to-date information. I’m not saying YouTube videos are bad, it’s just that many of them are from 2–3 months ago, so I’m not sure how fast things change in this game.
I’m not super hardcore, but I’d probably consider myself a midcore player.
So far, I’ve played for about 2–3 hours, and I think I understand the basic fundamentals. What I really want to ask everyone about is loadouts—both weapons and items.
- So… what’s currently meta? What kind of guns or setups should I be using? Should I be saving resources or not?
I’m not a meta slave or anything, but I like starting with simple and effective setups so I can learn faster.
I know this is the kind of game where you can play however you want, but like I said, I just want to learn as quickly as possible since there’s a lot to take in. I’m not trying to become super competitive or anything—it’s just fun for me. I enjoy trying to win against others.
- Another thing I’m curious about is FoV. Does it need to be wide or narrow?
In most FPS games, you usually max it out, and I understand why—but in this game, is it necessary to get used to something like 85 FoV?
2.1 As for mouse sensitivity, I’m currently using 0.85 for everything. I’m not sure if I should go lower for this game.
The games I mentioned earlier are all very fast-paced shooters, but this one feels much slower and more grounded.
