Hi everyone,

I’m working on perfume formulations and I’m trying to understand what people with real experience recommend using: IPM, distilled water, or DPG.

I’ve seen different opinions about each one, especially regarding:

longevity

projection

clarity of the mixture

skin feel

dilution performance

possible cloudiness or separation

For those who have already tested these in perfume making, which one do you prefer and why?

Do you use them in alcohol-based perfumes, oil-based perfumes, or only in specific cases?

I’d really appreciate any practical advice, ratios, or mistakes to avoid. Thanks!
