Regular water shut off/construction in building
Basically what I wrote in the title.
I live in community housing. Our water is regularly shut off for “maintenance”, at least what they tell us when they do give us a heads up. Today woke up to no water, no notices, nothing. In the past they’ve shut off water a day at a time, but hasn’t been turned on by the time specified, and were left without water until 8/9pm.
They’ve also been doing some sort of construction in the hallways. I work weird hours, and a couple days a week I’m sleeping during daytime hours. I can hear drilling from multiple floors away, and my favourite was when they decided to drill into the wall above my door. No warnings, nothing.
They did maintenance on our elevators, rendering them useless- buttons in the lobby didn’t call elevators, both were stuck on different floors. Had to call the fire department. We have tenants with mobility issues, but they don’t seem to care. Those elevators have had problems for years, but instead of properly fixing them, they update the lobby and front doors.
There’s no way they’d get away with this if we were some high end condo, so why is it okay to not notify us?
