Trying to learn new champions on Toplane as an OTP
So I am am an Emerald 4 Top Lane Main, a couple of months ago I was Plat 2 as an Urgot OTP, but I honestly just got so bored of that champ. So I shopped around for a bit and decided to learn Fiora. But it was brutal, I just started locking her in every game in ranked and demoted down to Silver 4. Finally, I learned and now im more or less a Fiora OTP on top lane, along with some slightly acceptable Twitch and Vayne ADC games in there for fun.
I really want to learn a new champ on Top at a similar level but that feels brutal. Currently I am considering Gangplank. Anyone have any tips on how to bring my gameplay on 1-2 other toplaners to the same level? Honestly normal games don’t do it for me, and I don’t particularly care if I demote a bit but losing games where I know I could win on another champ is rough. I’ve seen people suggest learning similar champs like Gwen but I feel like that defeats the purpose im looking for. Currently im considering locking in new champs into favoured matchups (obviously matchup knowledge matters more but just to ease myself into it).
