Is it worth mentioning a paper where you're not an author but your data is used, and if so, how would you do it?

I worked in a lab during undergrad for ~1.5 years and did a lot of preliminary work for a project which has now come out as a publication. Although I'm not listed as an author, I am named in the acknowledgements for my preliminary data. Is that something even worth mentioning in my work and activities for my time in the lab, or elsewhere?

I currently work as an MA in a clinic, and have both a doctor I am attached to, and my 'clinic manager' who trained me and is technically my direct boss. Obviously the latter would be a literal supervisor, but the former is the one who has seen me in a clinical setting and interacted with me more overall. Am I overthinking this, can I just use either?
