Perennial advice for a communal garden

Hello gardeners!

A few weeks ago I decided I was going to do some weeding of a common area between my home and a restaurant I work at which was just a parking lot and a ton of weeds and what not. I decided to plant some local wildflowers and see what comes up.

But then I got a little more invested and basically weeded an entire patch by the building and am looking for advice.

What are some easy maintenance perennial plants or flowers that I could try and grow in this space ?The area is basically full sun, south facing. Soil quality is unclear, there is some rocks and old asphalt in there. Zone 6a. I like the look of sebum but I’ve never planted it before.

Any advice or favourites are appreciated.
