Hey guys, been going back and forth with SCT support for a while and can’t get this resolved. Hoping someone here has dealt with this before.
My setup:
• 2019 Ford F-150 5.0L V8 4WD Regular Cab XLT
• SCT X4 7015ME
• Vehicle is completely stock
How it started:
When I first plugged in the X4 and tried to program my truck it said “Unsupported Vehicle” on the device. I contacted SCT support for help.
What SCT did:
They sent me a file to upload to fix the unsupported vehicle issue. When I tried to flash it I got General Error #1109E. They also told me the device is from 2014 and doesn’t support my vehicle (which is obviously wrong since the 7015ME explicitly supports the 2011–2019 F-150 5.0L V8). After pushing back they sent another test file — same 1109E error.
What I’ve tried so far:
• Updated device firmware through SCT Device Updater 2.25.260.4
• SCT support test file → General Error 1109E
• 5 Star Tuning sent their file → same 1109E error
• Tried factory reset on the device → Same issue
• Battery is fine, key in ON position, all accessories off
My ECU strategy code was provided to both SCT and 5 Star — both acknowledged it and still couldn’t resolve it.
Has anyone seen the “Unsupported Vehicle” message followed by 1109E on a 2019 5.0L? Is this a known issue with the 7015ME on newer strategy codes? Any help is appreciated.
