How do I move on from making a lot of mistakes at work?

I have been making a mistake at work about once every 1-2 months for the last year. I have never made the same mistake twice. I always acknowledge the mistake, apologize, and learn how to carry on better. The thing is, I work in the bridal industry selling wedding gowns. There is no room for error in my work environment. A very simple mistake can literally ruin someone's wedding gown or lead to a major issue. I am starting to feel really down on myself with the frequency of my mistakes. I genuinely love my job and I try really hard to apply myself, but I seem to keep making little mistakes every couple of months. The worst mistake was so small, I misread a measurement by 2 inches. It led to someone having to be fully refunded and buy a last minute dress off rack.

Is this a sign that I am in the wrong career? This is the only job I have ever had that I enjoy and feel fulfilled from. I am 2 years in and I feel like I should be performing way better. How to I improve myself professionally so I can reach towards that next level? My boss is patient but I am worried she is losing confidence in me. My only saving grace is that I have a decent closing ratio.
