Almost 500 hours and though I'd share my thoughts too.
I fully expect to get some hate, I'm just writing my thoughts, this doesn't mean I don't love the game and think it's worth recommending to everyone because it is.
Nearly 500 hours on my first play through still and while I'm loving it... it has its problems, all the weapons and armor being the same, all of the resources being largely pointless because nobody is going to upgrade more than maybe at most 2 sets of armor for each character and a couple of weapons for each, and they don't take much. This is largely due to the absolutely foolish mistake of making it take abyss artifacts to upgrade them, on top of making almost all of the weapons basically the same... the unique ones you DO find are also useless because you can't put gears on them, which is fine, but not refining them either?! No, dumb mistake.
On top of that the areas start to feel samey, none of the towns or cities have anything worth sticking around for, beyond treasure there is no reason to search. It lacks a certain level of depth I was expecting, given how everything was for the 1st 100 hours I was expecting lots of crafting options, unique interesting quest lines, but they all stopped after hernand too.. I have a Kuku pot al.ost completely filled with Abyss Power Cores and it turns out that was a TOTAL waste of time as well.
Basically it's a great game that has an awful lot of things to do that ultimately turn out to be pointless, farm for resources? Don't need them.. Power Cores? Don't need them, the animal farm or plant farm? Waste of time. Damiane and Oongka are only good for Artifact farming whej kliffs slows down.. The Right half of the map is A LOT more empty compared to the left, both in things to find/do and substance such as real quests and story. The Abyss puzzles were fun but ultimately unrewarding (yay another artifact!..)
The combat is fun but altogether simple and repetitive, not necessarily in a bad way tho? Damianes combat definitely needs improvements.. Maybe Kliff is just tooo good? I'm sure there are more things I'm forgetting right now
I don't know. I'm amazed, impressed and disappointed all at once, with a feeling of a fair bit of wasted time, assuming that because of the ludicrous amount of resources across the map that I might actually need them, and didn't.. I'm sure that this is everything a lot of people wanted and more, which is fine.
