I’m debating whether I should visit one or two temples while I’m in Ubud. I won’t be doing the water purification ceremony, so I’m mainly going for the architecture, experience, scenery, and overall vibe. I’m choosing between:

  • Pura Tirta Empul
  • Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu
  • Beji Griya Park Waterfall Temple

From what I’ve seen, Tirta Empul seems iconic but crowded, while Gunung Kawi Sebatu looks more peaceful and less touristy. Beji Griya Park also looks unique with the waterfall setting.

  1. If I’m not doing the ritual, is Tirta Empul still worth it? Or would it be better to skip it and go for the more chill/less crowded temples?
  2. Also would you recommend just doing one temple, or is it worth hitting two in the same day?

Not to ask the obvious, but do people typically walk to and find a scooter rental shop nearby, or is it more common to just have a scooter delivered to where you’re staying? Thanks
