3.5 Years as Supply Chain Coordinator, No Growth — What Skills Should I Learn in 4 Months to Switch Roles for better package and Growth?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working as a Supply Chain Coordinator for a family-owned business for the past 3 years. We primarily procure goods for mining organizations. Initially, I expected growth and learning opportunities, but over time I’ve realized the role is unlikely to evolve—even if I stay for several more years.

I’m now planning to change jobs, but I feel a bit lost about what skills I should focus on next to grow my career.

I have around 4 months before I start applying, and I want to use this time wisely to upskill and move into a better role.

For context:

- 3 years of supply chain/procurement experience

- Open to transitioning into more analytical or strategic roles

What skills, tools, or career paths would you recommend I explore?

Any advice or personal experiences would really help.

Thanks in advance!
