Hi guys, I live in Rajasthan and the place I live has hardly any local stores so I’ve no choice but to order the fishes online. This is my very first planted, no Co2 fish tank.

I came across a lot of websites but I was quite confused. After comparing all the websites I finally decided upon freshwateraquatica and I finished my prepaid order and everything but afterwards checked out the reviews online and learned they are scammers. I placed the order late at night so I haven’t received the QR or any sort of Whatsapp message from them yet and thankfully I found out before I could pay and also mailed them to cancel my order.

Since this turned out a scam, now I’m even more confused which website to trust as there are tons and some has heavy shipping charges or very costly fishes. Then there are some websites only has a couple of fishes which I want the rest, order from some other website. Some websites stay out of stock most of the time or has bad customer service or low fish survival rate.

I’m very very confused. I also came across Bunnycart. I ordered plants from them a couple weeks back and theynd were quite ok. Most of them melted and were very tiny and very less rhizomes and a lot of then didn’t survived. The frogbit i received had one small bunch and 3 random leaves which ofc didn’t survived. A couple of plants that I ordered, such as Ludwigia Repens, Rotala H’ra Anubias nana gold, and one of the Vallisneria spiralis , went through the melting phase and now they are thriving.

I ordered 2 times from them as they are mostly out of stock. They gave the tracking at all but somehow my courier got in city a day prior than the mentioned delivery date way early morning and I received an update that I’ll still be receiving it tomorrow only which is the mentioned delivery date and they kept my plants there for a day even though they could’ve delivered it sooner and some of my plant would have better chances at surviving.

I also came across Himadri Aquatics, PetKadai, Ohmletshoppe, JAD Aquatics, FishyKart.in, deeshrimpindia, Best4pets, Blessings Aquarium, Aquashoppe.

If anyone has experience with any of these stores then please give me an honest review, it would really help me a lot.

Also if anyone has any experience with small home fish breeders like you see on Instagram, YouTube and stuff, then please let me know as well 🙏

I’m looking to buy- Dwarf Gourami (1) Neon Tetras (6) Platinum/Mosaic Dumbo Ear Guppies (2 pairs) Kuhli Loach (4-5) (maybe) Cherry red / Fire red shrimps (6-8) 2 zebra or spotted nerite snails

Thank you.

I’m new to fishkeeping and recently set up a 15-gallon planted freshwater tank. Even after going back and forth with ChatGPT and watching a bunch of videos, I’m still kinda confused about what fish to get.

At first, since it’s my first tank, I wanted to keep it simple and just go with two pairs of chili red dumbo ear guppies. But then I felt like they might look a bit too small on their own, so I started thinking about adding more variety and color. That’s when I considered getting a single dwarf gourami since they’re supposed to be friendly and good for community tanks.

I also want to add neon or cardinal tetras, but I’m not sure if they’ll get along with the gourami. On top of that, I’m thinking about some cherry or fire red shrimps, a couple of kuhli loaches, and maybe 2-3 zebra snail.

I really like galaxy rasboras too, but honestly it’s getting confusing at this point. Another issue is space - tetras, loaches, and rasboras all need to be in schools, and even if I do choose one between Tetras and Rasboras, I’m still not sure if my tank can handle that many fish. My filter is pretty good, so I don’t think bioload would be a big issue, but still.

Also, apart from dwarf gourami, does anyone have experience with paradise gourami or striped gourami (Colisa fasciata)? Would those even work in a tank this size in terms of behavior and space?
