I was trying to apply for a HSBC Live+ Credit Card, but the application got rejected saying the location is not eligible for this card, however my present location is Hyderabad which should be eligible. When I inquired with customer care they informed me that it doesn't matter what your present location is, it considers the permanent location only as per aadhar card, since aadhar card location is not in any listed metro city, the application got rejected and this is a new policy change for new applications.
I felt this very weird, typically credit card issued based on current location followed by address verification.
Has anyone else also faced a similar experience? Or is there any workaround possible to get this card ?
