I like to play with the "Manage all settlements" campaign option off as an added challenge, but I usually turn off auto-recruitment; otherwise, cities keep churning out peasants even when the city is filled to the brim, so I end up unchecking that box on every settlement I own or acquire. I tried to look through the game files but found nothing that references the default state of the GUI. Is there any way to make it so that the auto-recruitment box is off by default?
