My mom used to take me to the library in elementary and middle school and I gradually cleared out the young adult horror section. This would’ve been 1994-1997. I think the main character was female and maybe she moves in with a grandparent or something, but I specifically remember her room having a mirror. I feel like she sees someone in the mirror, befriends them, and can go inside to their world. Unfortunately that’s all I remember, but I know it was horror. I do remember it freaking me out. And I know there was more than one book in the series.

It wasn’t Fear Street or Christopher Pike.
