So basically, as most people are doing as well, I'm planning on starting to pre write secondaries in June. I'm not the best writer so it's going to take me some time I'm assuming. My personal statement took like 20 drafts for me to be happy with, and I'm worried that's gonna be the case with secondaries as well.
I just got a job as a full time EMT, but I do have previous hours from ride alongs so by the time end of May rolls around, I'll have around 230 EMT hours. However, I'm just worried that all of that time spent working throughout june and july will take away from my secondary quality.
I would ideally want to work part time, but I doubt they'll let me, is it okay in my projected hours to project as though I'm part time even if I end up quitting? I would obviously find another clinical job that lets me work part time if my EMS company doesn't let me but I'd feel bad for not following through.
I already have like 600 clinical hours so its not too big of a deal, and I've heard a lot that the writing quality will matter more than my projected clinical hours.
How often in an interview do they ask what you're currently doing? And would it look bad if I say I didn't continue with EMS like i planned to in my secondaries/primary?
Sorry if this came off as a jumble of thoughts, just very stressed right now.
