New Extreme Metal Release
Hey everyone.
I recently released my first experimental extreme metal album - 7 tracks blending black metal with death-thrash and hardcore punk influences.
This was made entirely as a DIY solo project. I wrote the riffs, lyrics and vocals myself, and recorded the guitar and bass on my own. I didn't have access to a real bass guitar or drummer, so I experimented a lot during the recording process - including creating bass parts using heavily modified guitar strings and programming the drums digitally.
The album isn't focused on satanic themes. Most of the lyrics revolve around anarchist ideas, anti-war themes, social anger and opposition to blind obedience and political manipulation. One of the songs is specifically about ordinary people being sent to die in meaningless wars created by powerful leaders and their ideologies.
The production is intentionally raw and dirty - inspired more by underground extreme metal and DIY punk spirit than polished modern sound.
