step 2 prep help
Hi! I’m starting dedicated for Step 2 soon and would love some advice on how to approach UWorld/Anki. (will have 7 weeks of dedicated period)
Right now I have about 68% of UWorld done. I used UWorld throughout clerkships and completed the questions for Family Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. For Surgery and Internal Medicine, I did some questions but did not complete those sections. My school also does not offer formal rotations in Emergency Medicine, Neurology, or Ambulatory, so I haven’t really touched those questions yet.
My question is: Should I reset UWorld now for Step 2 dedicated?
I want to do mixed/random blocks to simulate Step 2, but I’m worried that if I reset now, I’ll be repeating a lot of questions from the clerkships I already completed. At the same time, if I don’t reset, my mixed blocks may be limited by what I already finished.
Also, for Anki: would you recommend unsuspending AnKing cards based on UWorld incorrects, or making my own cards from missed questions/explanations?
Lastly, I know there are around 200 AMBOSS questions/topics that people commonly recommend for Step 2. Should I do those gradually throughout dedicated, or set aside 1–2 days to knock them out?
Any advice on how you would structure this would be really appreciated!
