For those who may think they are not ready, believe in yourself and GO for it.

I am a CAD and BIM guy for a big consulting firm, no PM role. Usually not the smartest guy in the room and getting the PMP would be a confidence boost aside from all the skills of course. I tackled the AR 35hrs from Udemy in late 2023, got my cert in January 2024, procrastinated. I found out from this sub about the PMP exam change coming up in July. I took off work for a week before the big day and reviewed as much as I can while fulfilling usual Dad duties, I did not tell anyone at work as I am doubtful that I can pass. I purchased SH+, mock exam scores are 63,70,68,53, practice questions ave = 67. Watched AR DM MR mindset and practice questions (Hard, Agile, Drag and Drop). Bought 3rdrock notes 2 days before the exam and scanned through it. Took the test doubting myself Sunday night. I used 75mins on ave for each set, flagged half the questions for each set, and tried my best to review, wasn't able to review all, especially the first set, got some jitters on this one, calmed down a bit on the 2nd and last set. I got my official results around 4PM the next day and I passed, I used the onVUE link to get unofficial result too before that. My assessment is so-so (BT/T/AT) and that's not surprising, I passed and that's the most important. Boss is giving me 3,500 bonus money which is more than enough to cover expenses and hoping I can leverage this for a pay bump.

You are ready more than you think, the exam is mostly mindset. One thing I would change with how I reviewed, obviously is to allot more time, but I would also study more of the 3rdrock notes, I think this one is undervalued.

If you studied more than I did, you are ready! and THANK YOU to this sub.
