I graduated high school about a year ago and have taken a gap year because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for college. Radiology was brought up to me recently and I have been doing some research and it’s seemed interesting. The reason for the post is I want to know what all the details are for this career. Ik you have to get a bachelors in biology or something similar, go to med school for 4 years, and then do some residency work for 4 years, then after that do an optional fellowship to specialize in an area. I would like to know the finer details.

What would be the best major for it in college.
How do I cover med school cost of living since I’m pretty sure I won’t be in the dorms of a college anymore (I’m not completely sure on that end so please correct me if I’m wrong the college would be UTSA).
I’ve seen different things saying I need to do a year of interning just before the residency part but I want to know if it’s required.
Would a student loan cover med school?
What are the different work schedules during residency (Ik it differs between places but more so common schedules.)
Would the job pay enough to compensate for 6 years worth of student loan debt? (I say six because I already have my core 42 done during high school but the major doesn’t have anything to do with the medical field so the classes after that don’t help)
I’d also like some people’s pros and cons of the job. I would ask questions on that but I haven’t worked the job at all so I wouldn’t know what to ask.

Thank yall all in advance
