Started a job a couple months ago, things are not as we talked about in job interview. I’m wanting to quit now just because of the amount of stress/dread it causes me, but I’m worried how it will show up on my background checks. It makes me want to crawl into a hole and die thinking I have to do this for another 2 weeks, and I have a feeling I will be marked as “not eligible for rehire” even if I do give my notice because my supervisor is very rude and childish. Honestly, I have no plans whatsoever getting back into this field again. I have good standing with all other jobs, but will this really ruin other job opportunities for me? Do employers really reach out for these background checks? I also have a feeling that she might get upset and fire me on the spot, wouldn’t that look worse than job abandonment?
