KSEB doing power cuts and restrictions because demand is high.

This is not some unexpected situation. Every year summer comes, AC usage goes up. This is basic and completely predictable.

Instead of upgrading infrastructure on time, why is the solution always to cut power and make consumers adjust? We’re paying full bills!!

In a typical single phase home with 3 to 5 kW, running 2 ACs should be manageable. But now during peak time even that is a struggle. Now during peak time voltage drops and even normal usage like running 2 ACs becomes difficult.

If a system cannot handle something this predictable in 2026, then what exactly are we paying for?

If they can’t manage it properly, it’s better to privatise and let someone who can actually handle demand run it.

Right now it just feels like people are paying for a service that doesn’t keep up when it’s actually needed.

Airtel AirFiber vs Fiber — any significant advantage if speed is already good and considering to take a TV also?

Hi, I’m currently using Airtel AirFiber and honestly it’s been pretty solid . good speed, no major issues so far.

I’m planning to take Airtel TV as well, and the agent is pushing me to switch to regular fiber instead of AirFiber.

If I’m already happy with AirFiber speed, is there any real advantage to switching to fiber? (other than speed/consistency)

Things I’m curious about:

  • Data limits difference?
  • OTT/TV bundle differences?
  • Long-term reliability?
  • Multi-device usage?

Would love to hear from people who’ve used both.

Thanks!
