Doctor’s note

Hi everyone. I have a situation at work where I do not know how to navigate in getting a doctor’s note. So I’m looking for some advice.
I have been issues with cold sensitivity which has been aggravated by prolonged exposure to cold environments in my office. The thermostat is usually set at 62F which is too cold for me as I have been born and brought up in hot weather in India (usually around 105F, I work in the US)

When exposed to cold temperatures my symptoms have worsen for example:
When I have Cold and flu-like symptoms such as congestion, discomfort and fatigue the cold temperature in the office aggravates my symptoms.
I have also been having difficulty performing fine motor tasks including typing and writing because my hands turn purple from cold.
Also the temperature difference in office and outside the office is so drastic, that it’s making me sick frequently.

I raised this concern to HR and they’re super unhelpful and they need a doctors note for them to provided me with a temperature controlled workspace maintained at a moderate and consistent temperature or even a space heater to effectively manage symptoms and allow me to perform my job duties comfortably. I don’t know how to explain this to a doctor and I’m not sure if a doctor will provide a doctor’s note for this 😭

A little about my firm. My firm is very small and it just got acquired by PE and it has been hell. I have a 3 day in office policy to maintain my employment -!; I have used up all of leaves for the year since I had to visit my hometown for a month due to my mother’s illness so unable to take leaves due to that.
