Not that they’d likely agree, but what would it take for the blackhawks to part with 4OA? All this discussion over whether the sharks draft Steinberg or a quality RHD prospect, when the fact of the matter is GMMG would be crazy to pass on Steinberg, but this is still a great draft for RHD’s. So why not do both?
There’s a decent amount of smoke surrounding the hawks shopping the 4th pick, we might be able to offer them a decent package. I was thinking something along the lines of:
Ecklund
Bystedt
Edm 1st
They get their young top 6 winger, depth scoring and a first, we get to have our cake and eat it too in the draft. I get that it would be burning assets that we could use to trade for an established defenseman, but how many teams are going to trade away a young RHD with 1st line potential?
Anyways, just wondering if that trade seems fair or if I’m off my rocker
