Picked up a SuperLink Gateway and two USL entry sensors from separate Australian (Victorian) retailers. Gateway adopted fine, older BLE sensor works — but the new door sensors refuse to adopt no matter what.
After a week with Ubiquiti support: the gateway is EU region, the sensors are US region. They won't pair. Both were purchased from legitimate Australian retail stores with no indication of region on the listing or packaging.
I sourced a second gateway from a different large Victorian retailer to try to get matching stock. Still EU. Still broken.
When I asked Ubiquiti what region Australia is supposed to get, the answer was "EU or US — just make sure they match." That's not good enough when AU retailers are clearly stocking both without any way for the customer to know before buying.
If Ubiquiti is going to enforce region locking, they need to fix their AU distribution or at minimum make the region clearly visible at point of sale. Right now it's a lucky dip.
Anyone in AU successfully running SuperLink? How did you confirm region before buying? Returning either of these devices is turning out to be a nightmare 😞
