I have been diagnosed with hemiplegic migraine- right now my neuro hasn’t found an effective medication.
Today I had the worst attack I have ever had. It came on very suddenly while at work and I literally face planted in front of everyone because of how quick my leg went numb.
I typically have one sided motor weakness with some degree of muscle tremor but nothing like today. The entire right side of my body was severely convulsing. I remained conscious.
I of course googled this and the term “migralepsy” came up. I obviously plan to speak with my neurologist but my question is- has anyone heard of this? Does anyone have this or experience the hemiplegic aura to this degree? I’m honestly scared.
