Poeme de Sagano & Escada?!
Like many a y2k tween, one of my foundational fragrance memories is Escada’s summer edition heart shaped bottles. I can’t remember exactly which fragrance I had, but the bottle was blue and pink… so it was either Island Kiss or Pacific Paradise. I haven’t smelled it in 20 years.
Well, today I received a sample of Poeme de Sagano by Ella K. I was expecting a light, breezy citrus. I got that, but I also got a surprise. I was instantly reminded of Escada!! A flood of memories came back. I ran to check the notes of both, and I’m guessing it’s whatever citrus concoction they have in common that’s ringing in my mind.
I’m sure Poeme de Sagano is much more elegant and refined, it’s not very sweet at all… so I wonder if I’m having a scent hallucination or something.
Has anyone else tried Poeme de Sagano and been reminded of Escada?
