So my results are as follows:
H2= Baseline: 12-- 14,8,7,6,5,5,9,14,10
CH4= Baseline: 9--10,8,7,8,7,6,10,11,9
My results said: IMO IS INDICATED w/ POSSIBLE MASKING OF H₂ SIBO
However, my Naturopath is viewing my case as atypical because my Methane didn't react in typical fashion and is suspecting Hydrogen Sulphide.
The initial treatment prescribed is as follows:
NAC x2 daily (30 min before food/meds) - breakfast and dinner (1 month)
Rifaximin 550mg x3 daily (14 days)
Microcidin-AF x 2 caps x2 daily (breakfast/ dinner) (1 month)
Nystatin: 3x daily capsule (1mill unit) ** this is because I have a yeast overgrowth** (1 month)
*Note there is no prokinetic* I do have ginger+ artichoke caps at home and I could add this at bedtime, but it was not prescribed.
I am just wondering if my protocol is missing anything critical or this is sufficient for the first month.
