Hi all, I’m 37F with cardiomyopathy that led to my CHF. I originally did well on Lasix but my dose was halved and I’m retaining water like crazy again.
Has anyone else dealt with breast swelling on one side? Both breasts have fluid in them but only one is heavy and hard. I had a mammogram and ultrasound this week to rule out any other shenanigans and both came back clear.
I was told that I’d have to carry this discomfort around until my heart is doing better, or we find a diuretic dose that work. As you can imagine my chest hurts and is heavy. It makes sleeping harder as I cannot get comfortable enough to fall asleep, nevermind the coughing. Feels like I’ve lost all progress I made in walking farther before needing a break, and catching my breath has become harder.
Has anyone dealt with this before? I’m looking for tips on how to manage this while my doctors fiddle with my meds. My abdomen is also super distended so wearing bras or crop tops feels like torture. Happy to share pics of the monstrosity if any of you are interested.
