"The Ascot" Pocket Watch (SWISS)

Just picked up this Ascot Pocket Watch. It's stamped with the trademark date, but I doubt it's from that exact date - but, definitely something close to it. These watches were apparently made for about 10 years in the late 19th Century.

I picked it up because the backward minute counting for the chrono is unique - haven't seen that before.

Does anyone have any other info on this type of pocket watch?

It's keeping great time so far!

I was able to get the strap to work

I posted a little while ago about having trouble getting a 19mm band to work, so I took the 'quick release' pins that came with this 20mm band and put in bands that actually work.

watch is absolutely gorgeous, especially for one that is 80+ years old
