What would someone get out of “Hiding” Cryptids?
When discussing Cryptids one of the weaker arguments for trying to prove the existence of one is that “THEY” are hiding them from you.
“The Smithsonian is hiding the bones of giants because they would disprove evolution.”
How would finding a new organism immediately invalidate a Scientific Theory?
“If people knew about Dogman they would revolt against XYZ government.”
People live in governments that have done countless known atrocities against their own citizens. I don’t think a new animal is going to change society on a national scale.
“Big companies are hiding the existence of Hoop Snakes so that they can continue to mine/log/pollute their natural home.”
We sadly live in a reality where companies already brazenly do this with known animals and get slap on the wrist fines. The current US Government is actively trying to end Wildlife Protections.
Not trying to ruffle feathers, just trying to understand where these people are coming from. Have you ever heard of a half decent explanation?
