My daughter was assessed privately a few weeks ago. The assessment seemed very thorough. She absolutely masks/copes in school so the teacher sees no behavioural issues with her apart from fidgeting and chewing. Her report was basically that she has adhd traits, but not consistent enough across all settings, therefore cannot be clinically diagnosed. It suggests monitoring her over the next few years as academic and social pressures toughen and have her reassessed if struggles don’t improve. She also said to support her as if she has it as she still needs those supports? I (her mam) have a diagnosis myself. Has anyone else been in a similar grey area situation?
