CFA or skill ? What should I choose being in tier 2 iim

This year, I will be attending a Tier 2 IIM GNEM (BBA, 988). I have many internship experience in finance, I am currently trying to choose between preparing for the CFA examination or learning a new skill (eg take a course of valuation school). During a recent internship at an asset management firm, valued at some thousand crores, the founder told that nearly all applicants seeking positions at the firm have completed at least Level 1 of the CFA program. Given this I believe that a CFA qualification might be insufficient for securing a Summer Internship Placement (SIP).
