Ive been practicing for an upcoming open mic in a couple weeks and all the songs I’ve saved and been practicing has kinda burnt me out. I’m trying to play to the exact tune of a song and some days it sounds good and other days I completely mess it up. I’ve been playing for a little over 8 years self taught so any and all I’m still learning.

What I’ve been struggling with most has been singing and playing. There are some songs that I can start out great and then my strumming goes off the rails and my words to hand don’t match and the whole train stops moving.

I could definitely use some pointers maybe to ease into singing and playing maybe something else to do besides playing the songs every day? I appreciate any advice in advance.
