I am looking for all the movies, TV shows, videogames or other books you can think of that have some King in Yellow influence in them. Be it easter eggs, references or clear inspirations.
I am a gamer for entire life, love the pop culture and discovered KiY only recently. Read the lore and going back connected it to some titles I've seen or played.
For example in Darkest Dungeon game (very eldrich in nature) there is an enemy called the Collector that is pretty much a direct reference.
In whole Dark Souls/Elden Ring series there are signs all over the place. Character named Xanthous King (xanthous literally meaning yellow in greek) and yellow color always being connected to chaos and madness in those games.
In Fear and Hunger a survival horror RPG one character becomes the King in Yellow during an ending named "Yellow King".
All this just makes me wonder what else I completly missed, I even remember seeing name Carcosa being used many time, I just didn't pay it any attention. So what are your observations and what did you notice ?
