I am finishing up finals and my school year (College) has had a lot of heavy reading. Reading in general has become a bit of a slog both because I feel burnt out from all my school books and because I have fried my attention span with social media and video games. I am hoping this summer to try and reset that by starting with some easier books and reading in places with limited distractions, then building back up to what I need to read for school and the heftier books on my 'need to read' list.

I would like to start with some kind of easier fiction, simple to read and engaging, preferably on the slightly shorter side. genre doesn't matter much. I'm a man and would prefer something more 'manly' or geared towards a male audience. No NSFW please. I guess something similar to Louis L'Amour books, though with a bit more breadth than just the old west.
