I live in Georgia and worked 100% remote for a college in Virginia. They did not take out any taxes throughout the year and for 2025 I owed Virginia $800+ dollars. I do not understand why some places are saying I should owe $0 and some are saying that I will owe every year. Is it a coding problem on their side? Any thoughts would be super helpful. Since I paid them am I eligible for a refund? I have read that:
