Hi everyone. This is a second rug I inherited.
7 feet 2 inches x 4 feet 6 inches
Wool
Depicts a traditional "shikargah" (hunting scene) with detailed figures, animals, and foliage.
Good condition yet worn in places
Any help on its origins and value would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. A rug I inherited and was wondering about it's value.
6 feet 4 inches x 4 feet
Features intricate hunting scenes with animals and foliage on a dark blue background.
Fairly worn in several places.
It has an elephant in the center and I was informed that has special value?
Does anyone have thoughts on it's origin or value?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! Does anyone have recommendations for oriental rug cleaning anywhere from NYC to the Philly area?
I have found a lot of variation in quotes, methods, and just about everything. I don't know who to believe tbh and who will really do what they promise.
Examples:
1 - dusting/beating: some use a centrifuge type duster, others say they have a "rug beater," others just say deep vaccuum
2 - all claim to do a deep immersion / submerged wash. massive variance on the time. one appears to do leave it submerged for an hour or less. another told me it would be left submerged for 2-3 days. another said that unless it needs moth repair, i.e. has larvae, it only needs a surface wash
3 - moth larvae removal: I have heard the gamut from freezing, heat, the submerge wash is sufficient, sprinkle diatomaceous earth and deep vacuum, adding 1 part white vinegar to 5 parts water during the rinse after the wash, spraying with SLA spray
4 - price: I have been quoted between $6 and $8 per square foot. When I ask for a lower rate or a bulk discount, almost all aver and say, well we could just do a quick surface wash for $4 to $5.
Am willing to travel to anywhere in NJ, NYC, Philly, or PA up to Allentown for the right service.
So confused. Hoping you'll help!
