Hello all!
Currently working on a project installing 8th gen lowers on my 6th gen. The forks and cartridges themselves dropped in with no issue but I’ve now run into an issue with the VTEC wheel itself.
I foolishly assumed that any 310mm disc that fit the Honda 62mm 6 bolt mounting would work hence I got a pair of CBR1100XX discs. However after installing them I couldn’t get them to fit between the new forks (Pic 1). Turns out they have an offset of 18.5mm which made them too wide. Currently exploring using a CBR600RR front wheel but would like to get the following measurements from a 8th gen owner:
- Disc mounting surface distance (Pic
- Disc spacing (outer face to outer face)
- Spacer length
If any 8th gen owners could help with measuring their front wheel it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
