Obtaining a passport for Syrian Child
Can someone tell me what are the steps to obtain a passport here in Syria for our Syrian born child ? Father is Syrian and mother is American- we’ve been married over a year both religious marriage and through the court system but I need to travel outside of the country to apply for the child’s us citizenship and passport. I am missing a document to prove my birth certificate is valid, so they won’t give us a family book- which, I’m not sure is needed for the child’s Syrian passport application? I hope we can leave my name off his passport and he can get it through his dad’s nationality but I’m very confused and we’ve spent a lot of time going to Damascus to settle things. Does anyone have legal or cursory advice for navigating this process? TIA🙏🏼
