And I just have to say, why tf is everyone’s mother dead?
Don’t know how to put spoiler stuff, so just a warning, probably only read if you’re done. Also, I’m new here, so sorry in advance if this is an overdone topic!
Claude’s mother: appears a few times to show that she was sickly and dies when he was young
Felix’s mother: died when he was a child
Athanasia’s mother: obviously we all know Diane died during childbirth
Jennette’s mother: died from giving birth as well
Ezekiel’s (however u spell it) mother: was mentioned only once in a side story where Athanasia basically says “This must’ve been were his mother recuperated at before she died,” about an estate. Like dang, the lady is a throw away line.
The only person who had a mother mentioned who I’m not sure died or not is Anastacius. Can’t remember what happened to her. But she must’ve died pretty early since she isn’t around during the current plot. She should’ve definitely been alive and around grandma age, but whatever.
Also, the women are either absolute saints or power hungry evil women in this manhwa, but the men (Claude, Anastacius, Lucas…) are allowed to be as morally gray as they want.
I love Felix as much as the next person, but why did we have sooo much more of him than of the woman who literally raised our main character? Especially towards the end. Had me wondering where tf lily was.
Actually one last thing, the familial relations carried this manhwa, the romance was sooo flipping boring. Whenever the love interest were in the screen I was like, “Show Jennette! Show Claude! Show more of Jennette and Anastacius’s relationship!” And the boys looked too grown for Athy.
I’m not gonna delve too much because I’m sure this manhwa has been talked about to death, but overall fun read lol. Loveeee Jennette, she’s so adorable! So happy they weren’t lazy and made her evil, wish they put more into her character development though.
Last thing, why did they not show us more of that white haired hottie in Lucas’s flashbacks vro. And his cute little family. What happened! I’m not finished the side stories so maybe I’ll find out lol.
