I don’t agree with all the people siding wholeheartedly with Akemura even after seeing the mikaboshi’s aggression and unwillingness to negotiate. I think a more reasonable opinion is that Kunishige is totally vindicated in crafting 6 nukes to oppose the Mikaboshi’s aggression. Obviously genocide is always bad, but to act like I can’t understand why Akemura did the malediction is stupid also. Imagine someone pulls up to your homeland, threatens the people you swear to protect, kills 2 of your 3 siblings and refuses to negotiate for something that happened 1000 years ago of which you had no part. I don’t agree with his decision but I totally understand why he did it. From what we’ve seen so far Kunishige should feel no guilt for crafting the weapons he did.
