Hi all, I am looking to move states and will be considering travel PT since I will only be in the new state for ~1 yr. I’ll be moving to Tampa, FL area.

However, due to various reasons, I will be looking into local contracts instead of true travel positions. This is due to me not have a tax home and inability to show proof of duplicating expenses.

With that being said, I wanted to get insight from travelers who have taken local contracts before.

  1. Generally speaking, will the agency match the local hourly rate to the travel gross rate? (Ie if travel gross take home is $2,200/wk, will they match local hourly rate to $45/hr)?

  2. Anything else I should be on the lookout for when looking at job posts, speaking to recruiters, etc.?

Thank you all in advance!
