I just downloaded the new Android 16 update on my RedMagic 9 Pro, and I am absolutely thrilled!
First off, I am so happy they finally brought back the ability to swipe left on the home screen to access Google Discover. It’s a huge quality-of-life improvement that I really missed. The new AI features baked into the OS are also a fantastic addition, making the whole user experience feel much smarter and more refined.
But the absolute craziest part of this update? The 120Hz compatibility for whitelisted games like Zenless Zone Zero! I’ve literally been dreaming of this. I honestly thought this level of performance was strictly tied to the new chip integrated into the RedMagic 10, but they actually made it happen for us on the 9 Pro.
It’s completely incredible. Hats off to the dev team for breathing so much new life into this phone!
