But for real, I'm pretty new to CI and the seasoning on my Backcountry seems to be fading? I thought that didn't really happen but it sure looks like the factory seasoning is giving way to raw cast iron. Don't even know how that would happen. I've had it about a year and use it pretty much weekly. Wash with soap when it needs it, usually just a chain mail scrub in hot water though. Am I just being an idiot?
