Hello, after about 16 years abroad, we are looking to move back to India in about a year or so. I’m trying for an international transfer however in a case where it’s not possible I wanted to get some thoughts from this group.

How much time do you give yourself to look for a job?

Do you get interview calls while you are abroad?

Does having an Indian number help to get more interview calls?

How much of a leeway does one have to negotiate the start date?

I’m 35M and I do HR strategy for a FinTech in EU for some relevance.

Sorry if the questions are basic. I’m just trying to get some sense on how and when to actively start looking for jobs ..
