Hey everyone, I could really use some advice.

I’ve been working on character-driven stories lately, but I'm having trouble plotting out the resolution climax in a natural manner. I don’t want the entire tension and conflict between characters to just simply resolve in one scene(it feels rushed and artificial when everything is suddenly okay after one conversation). The scene I came up with is to have the characters each share something in common (like a hobby or a trait?), and they eventually meet again through this similar ‘thing’ and they settle their dispute through dialogue (like civilized people)(but I'm also having trouble making this scene feel earned instead of forced). So, I've been thinking, what's are other ways or scenes for characters to make up and forgive each other and can anyone provide me with examples?

I appreciate y'all’s suggestions!

Hello, I am currently plotting about a cozy fantasy book and I figured I should do a scene where the protagonist ends up losing everything they worked hard for (job, family members, coworkers, etc) which allows them to reflect their mistakes and hopefully change for the better. The issue is, I'm having difficulty coming up with scenes that lead to this moment and was wondering whether are their any other alternatives that allows a character to realize their flaws other than the ‘all hope is lost moment’ before the climax? Perhaps are there any movie scenes related to this type of moment where I can infer?

Any suggestions helps!
