♻️Coachtopia Is More Interesting Than People Give It Credit For 👀

Hey y’all, buckle up because I did not realize how many thoughts I had about this bag (and Coachtopia) until I started typing 😂

I know Coachtopia gets a lot of mixed opinions, especially when it comes to the terminology and materials, but honestly... I’ve appreciated the line from the beginning after owning multiple pieces from it.

After all the criticism Coach received years ago surrounding wastefulness, I genuinely respect that they chose to experiment with ways to repurpose materials instead of ignoring the conversation altogether. Whether people personally like Coachtopia or not, I do think the attempt at innovation deserves some credit. ✨

One thing I see people immediately dismiss is the material itself because it’s “not traditional leather,” but Coach openly explains that some of these bags are made using reclaimed leather fibers and waste materials that are bonded into a new textile. While it’s obviously a different material construction, I genuinely find it interesting how they’re experimenting with recycled materials to mimic different leather textures and finishes while still creating something visually unique and fun.

What surprised me most with this particular bag was how convincing the texture and dimension are in person. The crackled finish and layered coloring almost mimic naturally aged leather and give it this gorgeous retro vintage sportswear feel that photos honestly don’t fully capture. Even Coach describes the material as being finished for shine, texture, and durability, and seeing it in person made me understand exactly what they meant. It has much more depth and character than I expected.

Honestly, when I pulled this out of the box yesterday I literally squealed. I kept turning it around saying, “This is cute 😍 This is SO cute!” I was genuinely shocked by how realistic and dimensional the finish looked in person.

The attention to detail is also what really sold me. The contrast piping, creamy ivory tones against the darker body, stitching, proportions, and hardware all feel intentional instead of just creating a basic “sustainable” bag and calling it a day. The included charms were a great touch. The star charm and lock/key details fit the bag’s playful aesthetic perfectly ☺️

I also wasn’t expecting it to hold as much as it does! I fit almost my entire Ruby 25 SLG lineup inside with no problem, which made me love it even more because it balances the smaller silhouette with actual functionality 🙌🏽

I think the price point is genuinely solid considering the amount of detail and experimentation going into these pieces.

It may not be everyone’s thing, but personally I think Coach went in a really interesting direction with Coachtopia and I’ve genuinely enjoyed watching the line evolve. I also love that Coachtopia has carved out its own lane within the brand with fun, funky and playful pieces that don’t always take themselves too seriously, and collecting pieces from it that I truly enjoy has been a lot of fun for me. ❤️♻️✨

I somehow managed to score this overseas Ramadan moon and star charm for a steal and I’m still not over it!🌙✨

Anything celestial gets me every time so this was an instant yes 🥹 And on blue leather? Yeah… she’s exactly where she belongs.

I have her on my sport blue Trail Bag and chambray Ruby ✨ at this point, she’s just rotating between both because I can’t commit! 😌😂
