Commuting from Yorkshire to London - thoughts?

Edit: Okay I think the general consensus is that I'm insane for considering it... haha thanks everyone. Maybe I just needed a reality check.

I work in a very niche policy area, a G7 role has come up recently that would be a great next move for me but its Westminster based only & 50% office working. I work 4 days a week and told this would be honoured if successful. So would be needed in London 2 days a week.

I think I would need to drive half an hour, and then a train that takes 1h 45m to Kings Cross, and then get from Kings Cross to Westminster.

Just wanting to hear from anyone that maybe already does a similar commute? Is it totally insane to consider doing this two days a week? I do this maybe once a fortnight at the moment, and manage it okay

How to tell a family member who is TTC that we're pregnant?

Edit: Thanks everyone really helpful, I feel anxious about sending the message but I'd rather they found out this way...

Just looking for some advice, we are telling our immediate families this weekend that we're pregnant. We were really lucky and got pregnant really quick after we started trying.

We are wanting to tell the rest of our families our news over the rest of the weekend and into next week. I'm just looking for advice about how to tell a cousin and her partner who have been TTC for about 5 years and unsuccessful at IVF for over a year now. I don't know if to tell them in person or via a text or phone call. I know it would be different for everyone, and we know they'll be excited for us, but I also totally appreciate it will likely sting/upset them, and understandably so.

I'm feeling quite anxious about it so if anyone has any suggestions or been through something similar, I'd be really grateful for any thoughts.
